Trump saved videogames?!?

Additionally to this poat what ia everyone playing?
Nothing, I grew up and don't have time.

I'm probably the oldest person around who grew up with videogames (early 80s arcade era) and I find I just don't have the energy for them anymore, although until fairly recently I used to enjoy playing them in the dark days of winter just because they were so bright and shiny

Not about energy for me. I grew out of them when I started university. Waste of time in my opinion, but everyone has a different take on that.

@ChevChelios
That's why I said it's only my opinion. Though I also have the opinion that video games can be addictive and that they are one of the reasons why men nowadays are weaker, mentally and physically. They promote and lead to a sedentary lifestyle.

@RightOfSask

Depends on what you decide to play. Some people like watching tv/netflix and others forfeit tv to play a video game, some drink, some dont. In the end do what you want and do it in moderation. I work with younger guys and they work hard and are somewhat strong as well. Hell I enjoy some video games and also lift weights and have a thousand other hobbies.

Bottom line playing video games does not make you weak. Parents who don’t encourage a strong upbringing make you weak.

@Glowie
In moderation they aren't bad, but if you play them for hours every day and then complain about life being shitty, that's on you. I have enough guys at work telling me how hard it is to find friends, let alone a girlfriend and when I ask them what they do after work it's "well, usually grab something to eat on my way home and then play games and watch twitch until I fall asleep" ... I'm like "you will die alone with no kids".

Nowadays video games are more likely to ruin someone's life than not.

@RightOfSask everything in moderation.

your points are valid good sir

i play here and there but not much on my own as i have far to much to do. I am more like @ChevChelios and wait for more downtime like in the winter or time off from work / vacation time.

Kids play games only on the weekend and only for a set period of time. I join if they want me to occassionally as that is how we bond and stay close. Kids are teens now so they dont need me as much anymore so even that is getting less.

game i am playing when i do get sometime is Robocop Rogue City. I am very picky about what i purchase and play because of the woke but i can say that i am enjoying this game and what i have played of it.

kids want older games and more mature themes so we dont play together much anymore. My youngest likes to play with me though so i still got that.

good to know visa / mastercard or banks wont decide what my kids play in the future thanks to mr T

I play various games with my wife, niece and nephew. Old sega games, Wii, PS3/4 games. Anything co-operative.

Wife and I picked up It Takes Two a while back. It's fun, the plot is about a couple on the rocks, they have to work together to rebuild their marriage. The plot is a actually pretty annoying. Haha. The game is fun though because you have no choice but to work as a team to solve problems/puzzles.

The kids really like Little Big Planet 1/2/3. It's like Mario, but more interactive and 4 player co-operative.

The Wii is still fun and interactive, even if the graphics suck. Super Smash Bros Brawl is great to play 4 player with kids/friends. Mario Cart never gets old.

Old Sega Genesis side scollers like Streets of Rage or Golden Axe are great for co-operative play. The kids love them.

Streets of Rage 4 came out a few years back, It's great. My wife and I play it. It's 4 player co-operative.

There's a lot of great games out there.

I like to play games in between sets when I train. If it has a timer it's perfect. Fighting games with round timers are great for timing sets and killing time between sets. I lift and play fairly regularly.

@brutana_dilewski nice will add to my collection ... thanks muchly

here is one of my favorite video game music developers Hirokazu Tanaka

here he made some tracks for the late Satoru Iwata that i really enjoy. RIP Satoru Iwata Nintendo hasnt been the same since his death as the people running Nintendo i hear are not gamers and dont believe in the values of the people who made Nintendo great i.e cost effective for the family and good couch coop games. They also play it safe and dont innovate

It Takes Two is great, played it co-op not too long ago. It's a game about sticking it through with your spouse, quite the surprsing message. The wife and I just finished Baldur's Gate 3 (steering clear of all the optional degeneracy) and we're moving onto Split Fiction. We get an hour or two here and there after the kids are settled and chores are done. It's nice to settle in on the couch as a couple for a bit.

The gameplay is fantastic, the plot is just hard to digest for kids that want to play the game. They can always skip the cut scenes though. Watching my niece and nephew struggle to work together is entertaining. I have to keep reminding them that they have to work together as a team to succeed.
