Spotted this new construction in the "world class city" that is Toronto. Thought to myself "where have I seen this style before?"

Khrushchevkas ar only 5 stories tall, the bigger ones are Brezhnevkas, but don't worry, soon well get to Kowloon Walled City.

Khrushchevka-style apartment buildings started appearing in Canada in the 1950s; I lived in one of them located in the Rexdale area of Toronto after my family emigrated from Scotland in the 1980s. The first day we took occupancy my father pointed out to us that there was a sizeable gap on the balcony where children could easily squeeze through and simply told us, "stay away from that" (we were on the 10th floor)
