waterloo region district school board: School board trains staff that the term ‘family’ is harmful, racist

one of my favourite points in this is just how unfair it is that not everyone has a dad, so thats racist. wtf.

Quoting from Culturally Relevant Pedagogy by Laura Mae Lindo, one slide states that “biases are the socialized teachings of the white culture,” and “we use key words and phrases to promote the dominant culture.” One of the offensive words in question is “family,” which is said to be harmful to racialized students because it implies male authority, demands obedience without question, and erodes personal boundaries by “prioritizing the family’s needs.”

as well:

“The pain and hurt and discomfort are not ancillary to antiracism work, they are the guts of it” it says. “Without them, change simply does not happen,” quoting from White Women: Everything You Already Know About Your Own Racism and How to Do Better. The WRDSB’s 2024 workforce census reports that 90% of staff are white and 79% are women.

90% of your staff is white, you fucking bigots. the bigger problem is that 79% of them are women. but mostly i want to know if i get this book, will it teach me how to be a better racist?

How hard is it to fire a teacher?

i'd say pretty easy if one had a flamethrower.

Suppose a teacher or two were to snicker and jeer and push back against this woke shit. Suppose the snickering and jeering merely encouraged more than the two to snicker and jeer amounting to a cascading event where a larger fraction of the workforce were to begin snickering and jeering without fear of reprisal. Would they be let go the next day or are they so embedded that they can be an effective stick in the mud?

I also wonder how much this shit is used to get folks to quit. Suppose companies needed to let go of staff but didn't want to pay them severance, they might just drum up some nonsense that changes the environment they work within along side the age old tactic of pigeonholing.

If it's all about frustrating the population then fight fire with fire and frustrate the frustrater.

@Nink i think part of the problem is that 79% of these specific ones are females. women tend to go along and get along because they are typically afraid of being ostracized or whatever....the one thing i consider a very big "no thanks" is a workplace filled with women...which is funny, because the company i work with is all women (although i do recall she had a dude working out of her other area..not sure if he's still with us or not), but i dont usually have to put up with more than two other females at once and we typically do our own thing..but its quite interesting to see the group mentality of the bitches....i can only imagine how shitty it must be, but i'd be quite surprised if anyone stuck their neck out to speak up. most people just keep their heads down and put in their time.

Couldn't be that hard.

It doesn't imply any of those things and it's insane to claim it does, but it's obvious they're trying to erode parental rights using a divide and conquer strategy. Truly disgusting stuff.

See, this is why we NEED bullying. It keeps these commy degenerates in check. The anti-bullying campaigns have allowed the degenerates and freaks to feel safe enough to push their deranged garbage on others. They've now become the bullies, people need to start handing out ass whoopings again.
