I pride myself in avoiding commercials. Adblock, Script block, no live TV, etc.
The only commercials I experience now are on the radio (if it's on)
Now, select Shell gas stations in my area have added TV screens on the gas pumps, blasting commercials at full volume the entire time you pump.
A train went by, and I could still hear the damn commercials.
There is no opt-out, cancel, or "wait 5 seconds" option. Kinda sucks if you going for a fill-up. It used to be a relaxing peaceful experience.
After answering no to Air Miles, BCAA, Carwash, Club Card... provide a "silence" option, at least!
Now I have to drive around and find gas stations without these screens on the pump.
Fuck Shell, why do you got to be the last remaining station providing ethanol-free gasoline?
