Notable Peavy Mart To Close All Canadian Stores

Peavey Mart, a Canadian-based retailer that was established right here in Winnipeg, is closing down all of its stores in Canada.

Due to to financial struggles, the original plan was to close 22 underperforming Peavey Mart locations. However, it now appears that the company’s financial difficulties are insurmountable and it will close all 90+ stores across Canada.

Well, that’s just great. I wonder what the job loss numbers are.

That's too bad. They bought out tsc then failed. They just built a couple new stores around here too. Princess auto soldiers on at least.

Every month i got a full catalogue. Infact my whole neighbourhood got a copy. Not a flyer. There was nothing i could ever possibly need in it as a city dweller. I doubt my neighbours needed anything either.

My wife was like if they keep this up they are gonna go under as the cost of what they were doing was massive.

Turns out marketing to city people and not your actual customers was a big mistake.

Growing up outside a small town i always shopped there. They sold lots of great stuff. I hope someone more competent replaces them.

That sucks, decades (Fuck) ago I bought a lot of rig equipment from them. Basic ppe stuff, baffin boots, gloves, coveys, was good price and they've lasted me through those years unlike the garbage you overpay for at places like marks.
