The Trudeau government is expected to announce temporary GST relief on a number of items Thursday in a “major affordability package” to address Canadians’ cost-of-living concerns with the support of the NDP, the New Democrats and a senior government official say.

A senior government official confirmed late Wednesday that the government will make a GST announcement Thursday that will require legislation to pass, but declined to provide the cost — saying only that it is a “major affordability package.”

Wow, I can’t wait to save 8% in taxes on bullshit I don’t need or want. Good going, Trudeau. Very nice, asshole.

How about actually addressing the overinflated cost of EVERYTHING instead of the governments taxes on that overinflated price?
