Not surprised this is the direction the woke have taken, given that a woke co-worker also made a similar demand for "free trans surgeries" years ago now.

Also, have seen plenty of woke materials at Canada Post as of late (e.g., Climate Change, Indigenous, LGBTQ, black-identity politics).


The strike will impact all mail deliveries until over:
Customers should expect delays
Customers will experience delays due to the strike activity. Mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the national strike, and some post offices will be closed. Service guarantees will be impacted for items already in the postal network. No new items will be accepted until the national disruption is over.

I find this strike and its timing funny. Do Canada Post employees not realize that Canada Post is dying, and this strike is likely to piss off everyone who does still use it?

I have one of those group boxes away from my house and we’re doing good to go check it every 10 days or so.

And they need trans surgeries, eh? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
 
They still think they can ruin Christmas by doing this. The only people this would trouble are geriatrics sending hand-knit socks to grandkids they haven't seen in a few years that don't even care about them.

Just imagine their meetings.

"Haha, we'll do it before Christmas! That'll-"
"UM excuse me!"
"Huh?"
"Christmas?! HOLIDAYS!"
"Right, right, holidays. Anyway, this'll-"
"UM excuse me!"
"Fuck..."
 
I was thinking that might be part of it, but it might also be in part from the perspective of this being a higher leverage time to do it.
 
If I didn't go online to see the news that there was a strike I never would have known.

All I get from Canada Post is junk mail. I can go over a week without looking.

The only thing that comes Canada Post besides junk is birthday cards from family for my kids.

Can't wait to have our shitty government give into their demands so our taxes can keep being squandered with this dying and unnecessary corporation.

The simple fact is if this was a private company knowing this bad it would have closed down long ago.

They get excellent benefits pensions pretty good pay for what they do so they can go fuck themselves. What they even bitching about anyway usually it's about too many part-time people.

And they want more money just fire all their asses and turn it into a private company.
