Resistance Is Not Futile
To any members whom advocate for paedophilia, rape, a 'white jihad', and/or, make veiled threats against other members, you will be banned.

These have all been recent occurrences and have been dealt with accordingly.

To the most recent member banned, we know your tactics, it's obvious that you will try to come back and sow division over this.

That's not going to work.

Whether you're a good or bad faith actor (I have come to suspect the latter), your actions are a disruptive force, particularly to a small community, and we will not allow it.

a jihad perpetrated by whites, or against whites?

Led by white people (with some "diverse" allies of particular races if/when applicable), for the sake of taking back Canada, was more or less the gist of their posts.

They were glorifying such a prospect in several long back-to-back threads.

Very good. Hostile actors need to be identified and kicked in the balls off the site.

Disclaimer: that was a joke.

Don't kink shame man, some people dig rape. It's all over porn sites ain't it?

I presume this was a joke, though I don't doubt its on porn websites.

For clarification, that particular member made the argument that "the rape of women and children is okay, provided they are non-White". That was gist of their post.

I need some flair. Something that says 100% of what I say on this site is satire/joking.

The ConservationistCan I get a quick run down on what's occurred?

Well, most has been further clarified now

Being a bit vague here, but let's just say some people seem to like to test the limits of what they can get away with, and try to expand those limits. They become more bold over time when they aren't banned, and eventually overstep.

While I am a free speech advocate, I do believe that users should be held responsible for their posts if their continued belligerence has a negative effect on the board.

Same with guns. Everyone should have access to them. Except repeat criminals and people who've shown they can't use them responsibly or safely.

Same with vehicles. See above.

Thanks.

Fedposting too close to the sun.

Well he's popped up a few times already, as expected.

We deleted his most recent threads from one of his banned accounts, which happened to include one of the threads with the Indian guy in Brampton doing his business outdoors at the gas station for all to see.

So naturally the banned member wants to gaslight about the ban being about "the jannies not liking this photo", despite said photo already being posted in another thread that isn't removed.

On a related note, ban evasion isn't permitted either.

I have now restricted new user registration to make easier for the mods to keep an eye out for his new accounts

If a new user's registration is approved by a moderator, then the new user will have their permissions severely limited.

That will serve a few purposes, but, the new users will still have some permissions, in part to reduce the potential of "friendly fire" on legit new members whom aren't the banned member in question (this is unlikely to be much of an issue, since we don't have many new registrations per day)

If you are a returning not-banned-member (with a new account) and would like those permission restrictions lifted, then tag me in a post requesting it.

@Glowie
The big ones are:
  • Inability to create new DMs (he was doing that to try to create problems)
  • Inability to create new threads (can only comment within other people's pre-existing threads on the General forum)
  • Inability to post anywhere except the General forum (which is more visible and where almost all of our discussions take place)

These restrictions will be temporary (and not the government's definition of "temporary" of course).

I realize that your current account is mostly a parody account

If you're one of the members whom is semi-frequently making new such parody accounts and would like another new account in the near future, then just shoot me a DM with your current account and I'll approve the new account registration + lift those restrictions for you

@The Conservationist

I am but this is the current account cause I burn the others. I can stay in purgatory until the restrictions are lifted.

What timeframe are we looking at here, or is it mod based decision? Not that I’m in a rush, but with a white jihad on our hands things could get sorta serious at a semi moderate speed, and time may not be of essence.

You guys deleted the gas station shitter thread?

There was no way to keep the thread?

I don't remember who posted it.

What other threads are you guys deleting? Is this going to be a regular thing? Do we need to start archiving important threads?

There should be a running list of deleted threads. I've used the search function to look up past info and realized there is a lot missing. How long do threads stay in the archives? What's the duration before they expire?

@Beers2Freedom

Yes, but not because of its content, rather, because of who the OP was

There is another thread on that topic now by Ghosted Tabloid

There was no way to keep the thread?
Banning doesn't delete the OP's threads, but, he had several on General, and I wanted to clean up his most visible posts (which was 3-5 threads if I recall correctly)

In hindsight I should have probably just moved them to the Archives

I don't remember who posted it.
Toplek, the person whom was banned

He's had many many alt accounts since arriving several months ago

What other threads are you guys deleting? Is this going to be a regular thing?
It's pretty rare that we delete threads, aside from obvious spam which is still rather infrequent

Besides the banned member's recent threads, and the 'white jihad' threads from a week or two prior, I don't remember the last time we deleted any threads. Point being, it's not often.

Do we need to start archiving important threads?
Up to you

I assume that anything important I want to keep should be saved offline, because like you, there have been many times I've searched for threads only to find them no longer available (but not by mod deletion, more on that in a moment)

An alternative when applicable is to bookmark the URLs shared in threads of interest

I've used the search function to look up past info and realized there is a lot missing.
Almost all deleted threads were deleted by the thread OP

This usually occurs via the OP purging their entire account of content

Some members semi-frequently do that, and some do it when they are leaving the forum (but possibly return eventually) and/or starting fresh with a new account

There should be a running list of deleted threads.
While I do understand the sentiment, the reason we wouldn't do that is because it would partially defeat the purpose of someone deleting their own thread

How long do threads stay in the archives? What's the duration before they expire?
They never expire, and they will stay in the archives as long as FCW is live.

The only reason they ever disappear from Archives is the above reason
