Making this thread mostly for the sake of our newcomers, though, 'veteran' members might also find a feature or two in here that you were previously unaware of.

How to upvote from thread view (press the arrows), and, how to re-organize the threads based on various filters:

How to change your 'theme', how to tell if there are any new comments on a thread that you had previously opened up, and, how to quickly refresh the page back to 'General':

Press the 'Forums' tab, and you will see the following view (at least on a desktop browser). You will see the various sub-forums, who has most recently posted in each, the clown world counter, among a few other features which are not highlighted below:

How to add images, hyperlinks, and attachments to thread posts and comments:

How to add a thread flair/prefix to your thread (you can change it after posting your thread as well, by editing the thread post):

While in thread view, if you press on any thread flair/prefix, it will pull up a list of ALL threads in the current sub-forum which had used that thread flair/prefix:

Here is a second way to change your forum theme. Scroll to the bottom of the sub-forum (or forum), and, press the theme name at the bottom left (which you are currently using). Chose the new theme which you would like to change to:

(Another option is to press the 'Members' tab in the top left, search for them there, OR, press on their username in a thread post/comment).

It is possible to add disclaimers to your thread comments. Whether text comments and/or image/GIF/etc.. Please do so if you are adding something which is NSFW.

Hello, new here. Used to read metacanada and then Omegacanada. Never registered on either (I don't have much of an online presence, always been more of a lurker). Saw this place mentioned on the latter and opened a tab for it a few months ago. Remembered it a week or two ago but couldn't find the tab and couldn't remember the name. Went back to Omegacanada and couldn't find any mention of this place (we all know why). Finally looked back in my history and I eventually found it. Here I am. Thanks for setting this place up and I hope we can repel this mass insanity before it escalates further.
 
Greetings, I am an English-speaking gentleman born in Quebec City and third-generation Scots. Surrounded by a sea of vaccinated French-speaking Canadians, I have decided to register and join the resistance after being escorted out a theatre last night. Recognize some of you, most are cool, I rarely new post but I'll reply until Jason Kenney comes out of the closet (indefinitely) if I sink my teeth into a topic.

In the last year, I've had masked RCMP in my home, had foreign doctors try to commit me for the hate crime of standing up while talking, went through Covid isolation, saw through the bullshit and realized where we were headed as a country. The Biden installation put me in a deep depression as I realized that the Western World was deeply in the shit of an asymmetric war on our values and history.

I respect and despise Chinese Culture and continue to study them to know how to beat them.

Both of my sets of Grandparents came here fleeing communism (soviets, post ww2, stalin, holodomor) and I'll be damned if i insult my heritage by bowing before commie overlords. I've vowed not to shave my beard until this course that progressive fascism has put us on is reversed and the aurhoritaeian bullshit stops. Yes, i'll likely die with never knowing a razor's edge again but its a small symbol of my resolve and desire for a return to sensibility.

Feel free to engage me on any topic at anytime and don't mind my causticity as I'm arrogant and polarizing by nature.

As the name implies yes I do actually vote for the Ndp. Now I imagine that my presence here might be a little suspicious. I’ve been lurking since the Reddit days.

I have no intentions of flaming, trolling or pretending I’m something I’m not. Me making the account was inspired by a post that I remembered from the very early days of this forum where it was said that everyone was welcome. So hello

Mods, would you be able to give me any specific guidelines you’d like to see me follow so I don’t get banned?

Like a lot of others here, I've been lurking since r/metacanada -> omegacanada. Can't recall who it was on omegacanada that spelled out in code the URL for this site, however I thank them for 'rescuing' the last few of us. Things are 1000x better here.

I've been especially enjoying the posts on survivalist/prepping sub-forum and would like to contribute somehow to any projects that may be in development. I work in IT, so I have a pretty good grasp on how to install/configure/troubleshoot anything computer related. I'm also a licensed amateur radio operator and open to experimenting with any off internet networking.

Looks like a good number of us are in Metro Van/the lower mainland, so maybe we can test something locally if there is enough interest? Several people have noted the importance of forming tight knit communities in times of distress, however it's a little difficult considering I'm in lefty Mecca :-/
 
Hey everyone, I found this website from a popular imageboard from a CSIS larper thread. I remember /r/metaCanada but I never browsed it much because lol reddit.

Anyhow, I am impressed by the staff that runs this website because the website itself is pretty slick and has a lot of neat features (the ability to purge your account is nice) that other forums/image boards lack. I find the problem with a lot of alternate sites is that the site itself is ghetto which is a problem in itself.
