We can add downvote arrow in top right for threads as well if you guys think this wouldn't be abused.

Downvoting is an essential function that should be reserved for when someone is a complete fuckwit and deserves to be downvoted.
Nah, there shouldn’t even be a like function. If somebody likes your post enough they will comment and possibly add to it. The like button just turns into a popularity contest.

In general I agree with you, but I'm shooting for a mix of the .win/reddit style format, coupled with the long discussion format of the forum. I need a way to sort threads by popularity for community engagement. I'm willing to try anything though, we will see how this goes!
