Announcement New Forum Feature: Catbox Video & Image Embedding

We now have Catbox embedding on FCW.

Thus far we have tested it with: PNGs, JPGs, GIFs, and, MP4s (sound and no sound)

For any of these, you can simply copy and paste the catbox URL and it will auto-embed (much like how copying and pasting a YouTube or Twitter/X link auto-embeds already on the forum)

Alternatively, if you press upload image & chose the "by URL" option (or upload media and enter "media URL" for videos) and copy/paste the URL there instead (not sure why you would want to, it's an extra step or two, but you could if you really wanted to)

A note about Catbox:

Something to keep in mind, Catbox seems to remove files from their servers after some period of time.

I've went back to old catbox URLs from 1-3 years ago and they were no longer available.

Point being, it's still good to keep an offline copy even if its on Catbox.

Nope, but that will probably be next

You could use catbox as a means to post PNGs, that's 1 extra step than the old functionality
